JeffersonConservatives.com is the child of discussions between Bill Golden and Al Alborn, both conservative in different degrees and yet both are quite libertarian.

What Bill and Al both have in common is that they think of themselves as Americans first, and think of most Americans as wanting only the best for America — whether or not we can agree as to what ‘wants the best’ actually means. Neither judge others unAmerican due to a difference of opinion or where they live within the political spectrum.

Biographies:

William “Bill” Golden is a native born Virginian from Norfolk, Virginia. Raised after age 6 in Jacksonville, Florida, Bill joined the U.S. Army in 1974 at the age of 17. Bill retired from the U.S. Army as a military intelligence officer in 1996, with 14 years served just in overseas assignments. Bill’s experience included assignments from the most tactical on-the-ground challenges to service within the highest level intelligence agencies, and special service for the Army Chief of Staff. Bill worked on a number of Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) programs before starting IntelligenceCareers.com as a hobby in 1997 and incorporated in 2000 as a Virginia corporation; IntelligenceCareers.com is now a major force in the recruiting world and supports defense and intelligence operations in 21 countries. Locally, Bill is very active in youth sport activities — coaching two U19B soccer teams, one of them being the #1 team in the #1 division in the metro Washington DC area. “Business” and people is one of Bill’s favorite topics. IntelligenceCareers.com and its alternately branded USAJobZoo.com is one of only two platinum sponsors of the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce. Bill holds dual bachelor degrees from the University of Maryland and a Master (MPA) degree from the University of Oklahoma. Politically Bill is a self-described conservative with a strong libertarian streak. Bill has worked in political campaigns since age 12 and left the Army in 1980 to go to college and to work in the Reagan campaign as the North Florida campus coordinator (colleges and high schools). One of Bill’s prized possessions is an engraved invitation to President Reagan’s inauguration ball. After Reagan was elected Bill rejoined the U.S. Army and served until 1996. How conservative is Bill? On one of those ‘compare yourself to’ tests, Bill is somewhere to the right of Newt Gingrich … but with an open mind and an open heart to everyone not niched into his place on the American political spectrum.
